Are oils safe for making lotion/perfume or other body products?
Most of our fragrances are body-safe and suitable for soap making. Please check on the individual fragrance product page by consulting our fragrance compatibility tables (see illustration for example) or contact our friendly customer service team to receive a complete list.
What is the recommended fragrance oil loading for soap making?
By visiting an individual fragrance product page and consulting the maximum use table you will be able to see the recommended maximum fragrance loading. We do recommend starting testing at 1 - 3%.
Can fragrance be used on skin?
Fragrance in its concentrated form is not safe to use directly on the skin. Fragrance should be diluted in the finished product. Please conduct your own trials to ensure the fragrance meets the requirements of your end product as all fragrances are different in their composition and can affect the result of the final product.
Can I use liquid dye in soap or other bath and body products?
Liquid dyes are synthetic and are not able to be used to colour soap or other bath and body products. Liquid dyes are only suitable for candle making. For soap, bath and body colourants a certified water-soluble colourant for personal care products must be used to ensure safety.
